In an exciting race that has seen 3 pits stops, two time world champion Fernando Alonso prevailed with his first win of the season. It was his team mate's crash that triggered his chances of winning; consequently, releasing the safety car for the first time.



It was a race to forget for all Ferrari fans as they didn't score any point for the first time this season.

Hamilton increased the gap to 7 points in the drivers standings and McLaren is sitting number 1 with a point advantage over its rivals Ferrari.
